Schedule Virus Updates Weekly - Mark it on your calendar, make it an appointment with freedom from virus threats. Let it slide and they WILL get you!

Don't Deal With Spammers! Do you really want to give your credit card number to a business that spams you? The best way to stop spammers is to stop doing business with them.

Hard Disk Drives Fail! There's only one way to safety, back up your hard drive regularly! Schedule it, and make it happen. Burn data to CD, write it on tape, zap it to a USB portable storage device, but BACK IT UP!!! Store a copy off site in the event of fire or water damage.

Beware of "Phishing" - 7 pm Fri. June 25th

"Phishing" (sounds like fishing) is a dangerous internet fraud con game. "Phishers" send you very realistic looking emails asking you to go to a corporate web site to update or verify your personal information. The email you receive will look VERY REAL, but it is in fact a fraudulent web address.

HERE IS AN ACTUAL "PHISHING" EXAMPLE I received Monday evening. These crooks even used the THREAT of identity theft as a cover to get victims to fall for their scam! Can you spot the fraudulent web address? The link has been disabled. It looks very real, doesn't it?

"Phishers" combine the most evil aspects of identity theft, spamming, virus programming and con artistry. Reputable companies will NOT ask you to respond via email even if your account was sent up through the internet. They know about the dangers of PHISHING.

Always CALL a reliable Customer Service Telephone Number if you have questions about the authenticity of an email.

DO NOT FALL VICTIM TO THIS PHISHING SCAM!!!!
